TRANSLOGISTICA KAZAKHSTAN 2023: NEW RECORDS AND NEW PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS INDUSTRY IN KAZAKHSTAN

AT THE BEGINNING OF OCTOBER, ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT EVENTS IN THE CAPITAL WAS THE KAZAKHSTAN TRANSPORT WEEK, WHICH INCLUDED A SERIES OF HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS EVENTS DEDICATED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE AND MODERN SOLUTIONS IN THE FIELD OF TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS.

From 4 to 6 October 2023, within the framework of the Kazakhstan Transport Week, the 26th Kazakhstan International Transport and Logistics Exhibition - TransLogistica Kazakhstan 2023 was held. The exhibition was held with record-breaking indicators; compared to 2022, the number of exhibitors increased by more than 40%: 225 companies from 17 countries took part in the exhibition, more than 50 of them presented their services and products at the exhibition for the first time. Attendance indicators also showed active growth. In 2023, 3,940 industry professionals became guests of TransLogistica Kazakhstan. As part of the business program of the exhibition, 129 speakers took part in 16 specialized sessions.

Over the years of its existence, TransLogistica Kazakhstan has earned the title of the largest exhibition of transport and logistics services and technologies in Central Asia. This is evidenced by the high status of the platform’s guests; this year the ministers of transport of the Economic Commission for Europe, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan, as well as deputy heads of the ministries of Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia and Latvia, came to the opening of the exhibition. Marat Karabayev, the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, launched the exhibition and got acquainted with the exposition. During the familiarization tour, heads of ministries and international organizations visited national and collective stands, large-scale stands of domestic strategic companies. In order to build effective business communications and support exhibitors from their countries, the TransLogistica Kazakhstan exhibition was visited by Ambassadors and representatives of the Embassies of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Iran, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine, Finland, Estonia, and Republic of South Africa.

In his welcoming speech, M. Karabayev, the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, expressed confidence that the TransLogistica Kazakhstan exhibition will be useful for strengthening long-term and mutually beneficial partnership relations between participants and guests of the event. “Multifaceted business communication at the exhibition will allow constructively discussing current problems in the development of the transport industry and outlining ways for further effective development in modern economic conditions. Being in the center of important transport lines of the Eurasian continent, Kazakhstan is a transit bridge and a reliable partner between Asia and Europe, as evidenced by the international composition of the exhibition participants,” the minister summarized.

Interest from international business is confirmed not only by the wide representation of exhibitors from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Russia, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Finland and Estonia, but also by the presence of collective and national stands of the Republic of Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Estonia.

Large suppliers of transport and logistics services, software developers, scientific and technological companies presenting solutions for the transport industry, car building and repair plants, suppliers of equipment for logistics centers equipping, manufacturers of warehouse equipment, processing and cargo warehousing companies, software developers, scientific and technology companies presenting IT solutions for the transport industry, technologies for process automation and system integration, insurance and consulting companies presented their services and innovations for transport infrastructure.

TransLogistica Kazakhstan is the most effective way to optimize the delivery of any commercial cargo through direct contact with forwarding companies and owners of their own freight transport fleet, find reliable partners for building a transport and logistics chain and agree on cooperation on favorable conditions. Traditionally, the leaders of the domestic market took part in the exhibition: Almaty Consolidation Center, Asstra Almaty, EMEX, Globalink Logistics, GPL Kazakhstan, PTC Holding, RW Cargo, Sarens Kazakhstan, Interrail Kazakhstan, TMTM. The central place in the Pavilion was occupied by the collective stand of the Kazakhstan Temir Zholy group of companies, which have been participating for more than 10 years as part of a group stand that includes 8 subsidiaries. Visitors to the exhibition also noted the large representation of participants from Germany, China, Russia and Turkey. In addition, in 2023, the exposition expanded significantly due to new participants, among whom were represented: ATVLogistic, Greenlight, Light Way Solution, PartnerInterFreight, AsiaKS, Angat, Union of Road Carriers and Forwarders of Kazakhstan Associations of Individual Entrepreneurs and Legal Entities, AB Capital Technical Service Center, TLO GmbH Internationale Spedition (Germany), ATTRADING (Poland), Logitrans Lojistik A.S., Gurkan Nakliyat, Destan Transport (Turkey) and others.

Evgeniy Shcherbakov, the First Deputy General Director of All-Union Research and Development Centre for Transportation Technology LLC - the engineering center of the United Wagon Company railway holding, shared his impressions of participation: “The largest exhibition of transport and logistics services and technologies in Central Asia will allow us to even better understand the requirements of the local market and form a competitive offer for our part”. Sara Logistics, the Azerbaijani company, is participating with the stand for the first time. “We have our own port, our own wagons and terminal. We have participated in many places before, but this is the first time at the exhibition in Kazakhstan. The country has a large logistics center that is developing well. There are communication opportunities, but live communication, exchange of opinions and experiences is better. That’s why we decided to participate”, says Ali Aliyev, a representative of Sara Logistics.

The business program of the Kazakhstan Transport Week includes a forum, conferences and case sessions. On October 4, the NEW SILK WAY business forum was successfully held at the Hilton Astana hotel, where about a thousand experts from 25 countries in Europe, the Middle East, the Caucasus, Central and Southeast Asia discussed issues of cooperation and integration of transport systems, the development of the Middle Corridor route, and also new technologies and innovations in the field of multimodal transportations, increasing the efficiency of cargo transportation and improving delivery conditions. In addition, Warehouse Logistics Market in Kazakhstan conference was held in the seminar area of the exhibition. The experts reviewed the market overview and prospects for the development of warehouse logistics, the results of projects and plans for the development from the leaders in the warehouse market in Kazakhstan. Experts shared their experience in implementing digitalization and practices for deriving profit from implementing digitalization of facilities at the Innovation and digital transformation in warehouse logistics - technologies and trends case session. On October 5, the International Development of Ports, Terminals and Shipping in the Caspian Sea Conference was held. And on October 6, the final day of the exhibition, the V International Transport and Logistics Market Conference was held.
